Loaded fries are the signature here, including spuds topped with cheese curds or gyro meat. The family-run fast-casual spot is also serving up souvlaki, salads, rice bowls, and desserts including baklava-topped cheesecake.
“Our story begins four generations ago in the early 1900s, rooted in the time-honored traditions of authentic Greek cooking. Over the decades, that passion has traveled with us,” its website claims.

Six years after launching Pita Bowl in nearby Lindenhurst, the Leunes family has opened a second branch of their fast-casual concept. According to a local news site, the clan is serving up the same made-to-order pitas, rice bowls, salads and signature sauces; a build-your-own menu includes Greek chicken souvlaki, seasoned meats, and house-made tzatziki.

This hip café in West Hollywood comes from the owners of a popular pair of L.A. Greek restaurants, both called Petros. Deeming itself “a little Greece on Sunset,” this bright all-day spot is offering breakfasts and lunches, with pita sandwiches, omelets, steak skewers, pulled lamb sandwiches, and bougatsa, according to a local site, along with Greek coffee drinks like freddo cappuccinos.

At the grand opening of this mini-chain’s fifth branch, the first 100 customers received a bottle of the restaurant’s proprietary olive oil, imported from Greece. According to a local news site, the restaurant recently switched to using olive oil throughout its recipes and fryers, replacing blended and vegetable oils. “Davidson is a community that values quality,” co-owner Stratos Lambos said in a press release.

While not a Greek restaurant per se, this cozy spot from owners Teresa Heavener and Nicolle Hollister leans Hellenic, with gyros, spanakopita, a Greek wrap with kalamata, feta, and veggies, Greek chicken bowl, and Greek salad. Smoothies are made with Greek yogurt, including the “Green Lives Matter,” with spinach, banana, flax seed, and mango.

Dimitri and Denise Karras, along with daughter Stephanie Dunn and son-in-law Ryan Dunn, have transformed a former Red Lobster into this cheery all-day eatery. According to a local news site, the family invested nearly $1 million renovating the building with new flooring, paint, updated kitchen equipment, reupholstered booths, and new patio furniture. The menu spans Greek and American fare.
