Greek restaurant to welcome guests back to Dedham Square on Thursday, September 17 for an evening of live music, traditional flavors and Greek hospitality
DEDHAM, MA (September 2, 2026) — Following the overwhelming response to its inaugural Bouzouki Night, MEZŌ Mediterranean is bringing the celebration back to Dedham Square with its second Monthly Bouzouki Night on Thursday, September 17.
The first Bouzouki Night, held on August 20, drew a sold-out crowd to MEZŌ, with guests filling the restaurant to enjoy an evening of live Greek music, food and drinks. The success of the debut has prompted MEZŌ to continue the experience as a monthly tradition, with live bouzouki music taking place on the third Thursday of each month from 5:30-8:30pm.
The September 17th event will once again feature Tony Pentikis performing live bouzouki music throughout the evening. Known for its distinctive sound and deep roots in Greek musical tradition, the bouzouki provides the soundtrack for an evening designed to bring the energy and spirit of Greece to Dedham.
“We were blown away by the response to our first Bouzouki Night,” said MEZŌ Mediterranean owner & executive chef, George Panagopoulos. “Seeing the restaurant filled with people enjoying Greek music, sharing food and celebrating together was exactly what we hoped to create. We’re so excited to welcome everyone back for our second night and continue building this into a monthly tradition at MEZŌ.”
Guests can enjoy MEZŌ’s menu of Greek and Mediterranean favorites while taking in the live music in a lively, welcoming atmosphere. From traditional dishes and imported Greek ingredients to cocktails and other beverages, the evening offers guests an opportunity to experience the flavors and culture of Greece without leaving Dedham Square.
The September 17 Bouzouki Night is part of MEZŌ’s ongoing commitment to creating experiences that bring the community together around Greek food, music and culture. Following the September event, additional Monthly Bouzouki Nights are scheduled for Thursday, October 15; Thursday, November 19; and Thursday, December 17.
Reservations are highly encouraged, particularly following the sold-out August event. For reservations, guests can call MEZŌ Mediterranean directly at (781) 751-2700 or book a table via OpenTable.
About MEZŌ Mediterranean:
Located in Dedham Square, MEZŌ Mediterranean, is a modern Mediterranean restaurant rooted in Greek culinary traditions which opened in March 2026. The 33-seat, 1,400-square-foot counter-service concept introduces a refined “fast-fine” dining experience that blends speed and accessibility with quality, authenticity and true hospitality.
Inspired by the Greek word Μεσόγειος (Mesógeios), meaning “Mediterranean,” MEZŌ places Greek cuisine at its core while thoughtfully incorporating influences from across the broader Mediterranean region. The name also nods to the shared tradition of meze – small, handcrafted dishes meant to bring people together – reflecting the restaurant’s emphasis on connection, culture, and communal dining. MEZŌ’s menu celebrates the spirit of spitiko, meaning “homemade,” featuring home-style Greek dishes, generational family recipes, and beloved street food favorites prepared with imported Greek extra virgin olive oil and traditional seasonings. The beverage program features frappe, espresso, imported Greek soft beverages, cocktails and a curated selection of Mediterranean beers, wines and spirits.
MEZŌ offers an array of weekly happenings including Meze Monday (three appetizers for $18), Tavli Tuesday (backgammon games from 2-5pm), and Wine Wednesday (wine bottles for $25), as well as monthly Live Bouzouki Nights (the third Thursday of every month). MEZŌ is the sister restaurant to 50-year-old Dedham House of Pizza, located just steps in Dedham Square. Both owned and operated by Dedham native George Panagopoulos and his wife Dena, the new concept reflects their Greek heritage and his lifelong passion for authentic cooking and commitment to serving the community that helped shape him. MEZŌ builds on the legacy established at DHOP, where generations of families have gathered for over five decades.
