Three-Day Milestone Event to Feature Honors Gala, Historic Konstantinos Argiros Concert and Leadership Luncheon\

BOSTON, MA (June 11, 2026) –  Alpha Omega Council is proud to announce its highly anticipated 50th Anniversary Weekend, taking place October 2-4, 2026, marking five decades of service, fellowship, and cultural preservation throughout New England.

The three-day celebration – which will feature the Alpha Omega Council Honors Gala, Konstantinos Argiros Concert, and Alpha Omega Council Leadership Luncheon – will bring together leaders, dignitaries, philanthropists, business professionals and members of the Greek American community from across New England and beyond to commemorate five decades of service, philanthropy and Hellenism.

Celebrating 50 years is a remarkable milestone that reflects the vision of the generations who built the Alpha Omega Council into one of the region’s most impactful Greek American organizations. This anniversary weekend honors our legacy, celebrates our vibrant present, and sets the stage to inspire the next generation of leadership.

ANNUAL HONORS GALA – FRIDAY, OCTOBER 2

The weekend will officially commence with the Alpha Omega Council’s Annual Honors Gala on Friday, October 2nd, at the historic Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel in Boston. The black-tie event will recognize distinguished individuals whose professional achievements, philanthropic leadership and commitment to Hellenism have made a lasting impact.

KONSTANTINOS ARGIROS LIVE AT AGGANIS ARENA – SATURDAY, OCTOBER 3

The following evening, internationally renowned Greek superstar Konstantinos Argiros will perform live at Agganis Arena on Saturday, October 3rd at 8pm. Alpha Omega Council will serve as the local host in conjunction with promoter Dream Hospitality Group. Tickets are available at ArgirosLive.com.

The highly anticipated concert marks the first time Argiros will perform in Boston and the first time an international Greek artist will headline a concert at Agganis Arena, named after legendary Boston University athlete and Boston Red Sox first baseman Harry Agganis, “The Golden Greek.”

The concert follows a series of highly successful productions, including a sold-out performance at OAKA Stadium in Athens, two shows at Barclays Center in Brooklyn and a recent appearance at Chicago’s United Center, collectively drawing more than 100,000 attendees worldwide.

ALPHA OMEGA COUNCIL LEADERSHIP LUNCHEON – SUNDAY, OCTOBER 4

The celebration will conclude on Sunday, October 4th, with a special Leadership Luncheon at Taxiarchae Greek Orthodox Church in Watertown that will honor the legacy and contributions of Alpha Omega Council Founders and past Presidents.

The event will provide an opportunity to reflect on the organization’s history while recognizing the individuals whose vision and dedication established a strong foundation for future generations.

Founded in 1976, the Alpha Omega Council has contributed millions to charitable causes and educational initiatives while serving as a leading voice for Hellenism and civic engagement throughout New England. Signature annual events include the Marathon Education Essay Event, Boston Marathon Wreath Ceremony, Greek Heritage Night with the Boston Red Sox, Golf Classic Fundraiser and Honors Gala.
