Promotion of Greek products
The interview by Fancy Food Association President Phil Kafarakis in Estiator presents particular interest regarding the possibility of establishing a broader coalition for the promotion of Greek products here in America, within the framework of the aforementioned Greek Imports Council we are proposing.
Mr. Kafarakis has already laid the groundwork for this sort of collaborative effort with Greece’s organization for exports Enterprise Greece, the Hellenic American Chamber of Commerce and Pan Gregorian Enterprises of New York & LI.
Fancy Food Association, which organizes the show at the Javitz Center, is offering to help Greek producers gain access to the U.S. market, and the efforts of the Hellenic American Chamber of Commerce may prove very useful. Moreover, the five Pan Gregorian enterprises operating in the New York metropolitan area can play an important role not only in promoting the consumption of these products in their members’ restaurants, but also through their vast purchasing power.
