THIS 24-HOUR DINER, owned by Jerry Stefanitsis, in the Bronx (1920 East Gun Hill Road, 718-379-4130) that made history in 1996 by winning a Daily News contest as the best diner in New York City has been in existence since 1982. It is a family-owned concern that serves steaks, pasta specialties, and sauteed dishes. This fun eatery is a good setting for private parties such as birthdays and other celebrations, and was included in the list of diners reviewed by Robert Sietsima for Eater. Some of its specialties are Pelham Bay Nachos, Mini Crab Cakes, Jalapeno Poppers, Santa Fe Ouesadilla Rolls, and Roadside Sliders.
